What a quick week and in turn a quick email.

Transfered To The Promise Land

I had no idea what blessing was in store when I got transferred. This week I opened an area and started training. The area is blessed. It almost as if there was a cloud of smog over my past area, and moving here I see the light clearly. Currently we are teaching so many good people and families, and I’m so happy to be here. It’s also a beautiful area, with lots of history, I think it has the first church built here by the Christian conquistadors. 

I Have A Son

Fortunately I have the beautiful opportunity to have a son… in the mission the trainers call the missionaries we train our kids, I have two “dads” on the mission and my “son” got to meet his grandpas. Working with Elder Gerhardt has been awesome, hes very dedicated and easy to work with, he’s picking up all the new things super quick. On sunday before church we went out to bring our friends to church and we ended up running a decent bit because we were short on time and as we showed up to church drenched in sweat. All the other missionaries thought it had rained in our area, or I had dumped a bucket over him. 

Elder Rasband & The South Mission

One of the members of church leadership, Elder Rasband, one of the Apostles of the church, came to visit our mission and the south mission. Of course we met in our mission (the better mission). One of the things Elder Rasband talked about that I thought was profound was the way, that even with the eternal principle of agency, the lord will guide us to cross paths of the people were meant to change the lives of. As I’ve been thinking of all the people and experiences I’ve encountered I see clearly how all things work together for good. (Romans 8:12) I’m so happy for this opportunity and I’m grateful for the people I’ve met and had the opportunity to change their lifes but also help change mine.
