Pray The Rain Away

When you start flying it always looks like falling to everyone else.

Capybara & Alligators

The whole day we spent on the greens. There is only one gold course here in the northeast part of brazil, and it’s right next to us. Fortunately it’s filled with capybara, like hundreds and of course Alligators. Can’t even lie they are huge like giant hamsters.

Two Prayers

From two missionários.

For two years my companion had wanted to play golf and for two years we hadn’t been allowed. Finally we got the chance,  everything was perfect, the last big thing my comp had on his bucket list to check off before going home. And yesterday one day out from the only chance we stared a monsoon in the face. The area flooded and the forecast gave a 100 percent prediction of rain for the next 72 hours.

So humbly he knelt in prayer and asked for one last miracle. After years of thousands of prayers for others he offered his last request as a full time servant of the Lord. A Miracle, the rain to stop for a day. One day to play, one time before he went back. So the Lord did what he does best.

We woke up to slight rain and a notification, UV warning: Excessive sun. Looking at the forecast no rain in sight for the rest of the day, and just like that the rain went away, the clouds parted and the sun beamed. 5 hours later we found ourselves on the course, in perfect conditions.72 hours earlier:
Our 17yo friend Abraão wanted to get baptized but his family had told us to never come back, and still beinga minor he needed his parents authorization to be baptized.  We had no way to get in contact with his parents they had ignored every message. Passing close by their house we felt helpless they wouldn’t answer the door even if we knocked.

So I prayed right there on the sidewalk, “God please help us, I dont know what to do.” 10 minutes late we were walking past the house again this time an idea popped in my head have on of the members who lived close by pass by and talk to them. The moment I told my comp and had started to call my comp said, he’s right there, and right in front of us there he was.

He agreed and went over, ironed everything out, and we were able to go over and get our friends parents approval.

God answers prayers, He hears two missionaries in a foreign country, He hears college roommates, He hears single mothers, and He hears all His children. Keep on praying He’s there, He hears you He sees you and He loves you…

And I do too!
