Week 40

Pit Stop
This week I had the opportunity to go on an exchange in an old area of mine. In that area I was able to see Polianes growth as she’s embraced the gospel of Gospel Of Jesus Christ, gotten married, and had some changes to the size of her household. Looking at the impact of work you’ve done, the ripple in the pond makes it all worthwhile.

The Chain Of Progression
Spending the first 3 transfers in an area you start to see lives change, and the impact of what you’ve done through the lord. This week Guthemberg had the opportunity to baptize his friend continuing the chain. I can’t help but think back to the first day we met when we knocked knocked on his door, to think.

Hard In The Paint
As my time passes every once and a while I’ll stop to reflect. The challenges the difficulties and the wins. Always looking forward to what’s to come.
So what have I learned so far?
The biggest misconception.
Faith.
A base definition could be a
belief or a general
hope of things to come.
False.
Faith is described as follows:
“Complete trust or confidence in someone or something.”
For example if I believe 100% that if I cross the road I would get one million dollars. Complete confidence in this beliefe
would logically follow with crossing the road and getting the money, because the belief alone wouldn’t change my financial situation. The lack of following the belief demonstrates the lack of the confidence of the belief.
Let’s dig a little deeper, how do we back this up from scripture? What is grace? Isn’t it free?
Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. Our pure belief in Jesus as our Savior does not save us, because that is not the grace of God. The grace of God is that through our faith, a 100% confidence in a belief that fuels an action, we can be saved. In simple terms, when Jesus says what we need to do to be saved, we do it. James 2 declares:19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.
20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?So where am I going with this?
The biggest thing I’ve learned is that when we do what the Lord asks of us we act in faith and when we do what the Lord asks of us, we can be saved, through his grace. There would never be enough we could do alone, or “of yourselves” to bring us back from our fallen nature, we need our Savior Jesus Christ. We need to have confidence in Him enough that we do what he says is necessary.
3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.…5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.I invite all of you to investigate your faith.
Are you truly a believer if your not truly a follower?
John 6:64 But there are some of you that believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who should betray him.65 And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father.66 ¶ From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him.
67 Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away?
